I have see them as a yaoi couple, but there seems to be more out there as a yuri couple.
The few scenes I have see them as a yuri couple, Taiki is always the more dominant character, almost always taking charge of the situation. Taiki seems to try to act gentle, but is very suducive. Yaten is very innocent, not really knowing what she's getting herself into, and not quite sure what to make of the situations when she's in them. It makes me wonder if there really is a relationship behind their actions. |
| When I have seen them as a yaoi couple (or at least implied) though, their actions are quite different.
Taiki is still the dominant character, yet he is the one now that doesn't know what to make of the situation. Yaten is the more lenient one here, almost forcing the situation. |

I guess I could see these two as a couple. There is love between them, but it's of friendship. Taiki seems to love Yaten just as an older sibling loves her younger. "Yaten, you worry me." from episode 181 is a good example.
It's quite obvious how this couple was thought up though. Taiki and Yaten are pretty much secondary characters next to Seiya, so we often see them paired together. |
