Converting back to flintlock by removing cap and ball drum conversion, and making new touch hole insert... matching 200 year old hand cut threads

  IMG_6062.JPG gluing in the replacement inserts with   IMG_6063.JPG  IMG_6064.JPG Converting back to flintlock by removing cap and ball drum conversion, and making new touch hole insert... matching 200 year old hand cut threads   IMG_6067.JPG Inletting new replacement flint lock into original cavity... new lock is slightly more substancial thickness.  IMG_6069.JPG  IMG_6070.JPG Every screwhead had to be carefully cleaned out to remove screws... each original handmade screw goes back in the same hole location.
