Concord Duo 2000 Camera

The camera's built-in interface is USB 1.1, and not terribly fast. Reading a full-size picture at 700kb takes a good 20 or 30 seconds. I also tried an external USB 2.0 MMC card reader, and it was much faster; almost instantaneous. This method works great.
The Concord Duo 2000 camera has a 2 megapixel sensor, USB interface, 7 MB internal memory, and supports an additional MMC memory card. It can take pictures at 1600x1200, 1280x960, or 640x480 resolution.
There are two ways to get pictures out of this camera with Linux. You can talk to it directly through its USB interface as a USB storage device, or read the MMC card with a separate card reader. It also has a Windows-specific mode, which allows extra features such as webcam use, but I didn't try that. Because it works as a USB storage device, there is no need for another program like GPhoto 2.
